Sports are Hell......

Most of Caleb's T-Ball games this season have started out like this.  Pout face, needing mommy or daddy, attitude galore, refusal to participate......why do I do this to myself again?

Instead of hitting the ball with his bat, he decided to swipe it with his hand while yelling........yea........mother of the year award here.

Running the bases was a huge hit with him at one game because he wanted to show everyone how fast he was.  The next game....he decided to slowly stroll.  I thought if I tried to race him then he would run.  Instead he continued to walk, and I made a fool of myself......crazy embarrassing picture.  Have I mentioned I hate sports.......

Sitting on the base sure seemed like a good idea.....

Let the walking continue......

Running to catch the ball in the outfield was a hit.  Thank God.

Unless someone else got to it first, and then he was sad again.

These two love birds got into a little competition.  I love Presley's face in this.  She is so determined to beat him to the ball, and that arm stuck out in front of him cracks me up.  Notice his upset face....he was about to start yelling at her....

They were quick to make up though.

Look at his sweet face of joy for her when she got to the ball first!

He told her "Good Job Pres!" My sweet boy....swoon

Caleb may not love T-ball all the time, but he sure loves this girl!

T-Ball has been rough.  A little joy mixed with a whole lot of yuck, but we are still there to cheer and support him during each and every game.  This little cutie is the best cheerleader of all.  (Yes we rock our pj's to the 9:30 am soccer game.......don't judge.)

The Agenda

I was going to title this post Life Lately, or Random, or Tid Bits of the Week....you know something incredibly exciting....However, I feel as though I have used all of those, and who reads blogs with titles like that anyway?  So I came up with something so much more creative.... ;)....

So any who, this week has been pretty darn normal.  We have spent a lot of time outdoors, and catching up with friends who have been traveling.  I don't have much to say, but I wanted to post a few funny pictures of the past week.

Mckinlee was getting dressed for breakfast the other morning.  I love her little diva attitude.  On another note she has really gotten into singing lately, and her new favorite is Ring around the Rosie.  She especially likes the part where the "asses asses fall down"!! HAHA.  I love the baby innocence, and the pronunciation!
Later the day she rocked this number at a family cookout......

This boy is all about being silly lately.  He is currently at a REDS game with daddy, and I am excited to hear his thoughts on it.

Please keep this little man in your prayers.  He is undergoing his second open heart surgery tomorrow.  His name is Landon.

The Voice behind the Words

Blogging is an interesting hobby.  When I first began blogging back in 2008, I had no idea that there was a blogging community.  I just assumed that only people you knew in real life read your blog. I'll never forget the first non IRL friend that started following my blog, Lea Liz, I was so confused as to how she found it.  However, almost 5 years later, I now understand the ins and outs of the blog world.  I have literally made friends with people I have never met in real life, and it is so crazy.  It is weird knowing so much about someone that you have never spoken to in real life.

Almost a year ago Kelly's Korner, did a link up that I participated in.  The link up was to find bloggers in your area, and through that I found 2 blogs.  Tammy's and Mica's.  We all started following each other's blogs, then became facebook friends, then instagram friends.....it was only a matter of time before we met face to face.  They both have 2 young kids, and so we decided to meet up at the zoo today for our very first IRL play date.

I was anxious going in, but at the same time I felt comfortable. After all, I basically knew their entire life story. even though I had never heard their real voice... :).  To make a long story short, we met, enjoyed talking, and died of heat stroke at the zoo. However, it was so much fun.  I was glad to finally hear the voice behind the words, and I am sure they were caught off guard by my country twang. We plan to meet up again soon.  I love the new friends this blog has made me.

In other news the kids and I have been spending lots of time outdoors, swimming, playing, riding the golf cart etc.

The days have definitely worn them out!
